Halloween: Latte art throw down, special beers and more

If your Doctor Who-themed bottle share falls through, here are three Halloween ideas for the food and beer lover in us all.

Halloween Latte Art Throwdown

A kick-off to the Halloween weekend with coffee art. The party starts at 7, but those wishing to compete should come early for sign-up. Thursday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m. $5 (All baristas — who must be in costume to compete — receive a free drink ticket.) The Principal’s Office, 1604 S. Cascade Ave.

Front Range BBQ Annual Halloween Bash

Live music from Grass It Up (dressed as jailbirds), a costume contest, food and drink specials and a tapping from Left Hand Brewing Company starting at 6 p.m., which will include: Introvert Session IPA, Wake Up Dead Nitro Russian Imperial Stout, Bittersweet Imperial Coffee Milk Stout and Ambidextrous #7 Belgian Quad. Saturday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m. Free. Front Range Barbeque, 2330 W. Colorado Ave.

Punch Party at the Principal’s Office

Return to the P.O. for its second annual punch party, where it’s all-you-can-drink of a variety of boozy punches (for a $25 pass, but the regular bar will be open and passes aren’t required to join the shindig), dancing to music from DJ Timme and a costume contest. Top prize wins a $100 P.O. gift card. Saturday, Oct. 31, 7 p.m. The Principal’s Office, 1604 S. Cascade Ave.
