You probably already know SMOK Brand, the Colorado Springs sauce company co-owned by Patrick and Tanja Tolbert, for the delicious whiskey glaze the company makes with booze from its fellow Springsians at Axe and the Oak Distillery.
Now comes word from Tolbert that two new flavors are available: Triple-S BBQ Sauce and Pueblo Gold.
The barbecue sauce is described as offering “the smokiness of the fire, the sweet flavor of the food as it caramelizes.” Meanwhile, the Pueblo Gold is another local partnership, Tolbert tells RMFR in an email.
“For Pueblo Gold we partnered with Carl Musso from Musso Farms in Pueblo and we source our Pueblo Chile’s directly from him!” he writes. “We even included ‘Musso Farms’ on the label.” The Musso peppers are then mixed with local chipotle peppers and chile powder.
