• Rocky Mountain Food Report is Turning 1!: Come celebrate the website’s first year with Furious Food artwork by Liese Chavez, food from Brother Luck Street Eats and Rocky Mountain BBQ Truck, as well as Cottonwood First Friday open studios and exhibits. • Bruja Brew Fest: A benefit for the El Pueblo History Museum’s programming featuring Colorado craft breweries and cider makers (go online for a full list), along with live music from Beyond Bridges and food from VORE Grilled Cheese Gastro-Truck, Smokin’ D’s Barbecue and others. $30-$35. • Fifth Anniversary: A week of celebrating at 291 with a variety of tastings and events. Watch for updates. • Garlic & Harvest Symposium: A day of vendors and classes from Pikes Peak Urban Gardens devoted to this year’s harvest and garlic. The morning session ($10) runs 10-11:30 a.m. and covers how to prepare your garden beds for fall and how to grow garlic. The afternoon session ($25, lunch included), runs 12:40-3:30 p.m. and will offer two tracks of classes backyard farming, beekeeping and more. Go online for details; RSVPS required.
