Eighth Annual Holiday Chocolate Festival: A weekend of chocolate sampling with live entertainment and family activities. $5. Dec. 2-3. Mortgage Solutions Financial Expo Center, 3650 N. Nevada Ave.

Cooks Marketplace Grand Opening: To honor this new shop, a weekend of cooking demos, giveaways, specials and free gift bags for the first 100 customers each day with $35 purchase. Dec. 2-4. The Cooks Marketplace, 4697 Centennial Blvd.

Island Wine Tasting: An in-depth look and taste at island wines, with insight from Swirl’s Sommelier, along with gourmet cheeses and charcuterie. Reservations required. $40, plus tax and tip. Sunday, December 4, 5-6:30 p.m. Swirl Wine Bar, 717 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs.

Beer Dinner with Local Relic: A five-course, paired dinner from Local Relic and Common Cause Catering, held in partnership with the Marian House and Catholic Charities. $60.  Friday, December 2, 5:30 p.m. The Marian House, 14 W. Bijou St.

End of Prohibition Party: A shindig with Bar-K and Eight Track Mafia, with a midnight champagne toast, scotch sampling and live entertainment. Friday, December 2, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Bar-K, 124 E. Costilla St.

Prohibition Party: A party to celebrate the return of booze back in 1933, with Axe and the Oak, Distillery 291 and Lee Spirits. Monday, December 5, 7 p.m. The Principal’s Office, 1604 S. Cascade Ave.

Fall Harvest Dinner: A meal celebrating Broadmoor Farms’ fall bounty. Call or email for a reservation. $58, plus tax and tip. Wednesday, December 7, 6-9 p.m. Natural Epicurean, The Broadmoor, 1 Lake Ave.

Spanish Wine + Tapas: A tasting of Spain’s vino with tapas from Chef Pete Moreno of MacKenzie’s Chophouse. $35. Thursday, December 8, 6:30 p.m. Peak Place, 2360 Montebello Square Drive, Ste. H-1.

Joan of Dark Brew Day: As part of Gold Camp’s second birthday,  a special tasting of Sisterhood of the Suds’ Joan of Dark Black IPA. Saturday, December 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gold Camp Brewing Company, 1007 S. Tejon St.
