Coaltrain Wine & Spirits is partnering with two local restaurants on special wine dinners next week.

• The first comes courtesy of Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop (pictured), the new-ish purveyor of top-level steak helmed by chef Victor Jimenez on North Nevada Avenue. Titled “Pioneers of the Columbia Valley,” the four-course dinner comes on January 26 at 6 p.m. and features entrées like salmon tartar, or seared duck with duck confit.

Tickets are $80, with additional dinners to follow on February 9 and February 23.
