This Sunday at 3 p.m., hit the first Farm Tour and Potluck of the year with Slow Food Colorado Springs. The group is visiting Penrose, where Cloud 9 Farm and Wheeler Farm will host tours of their facilities and a night-ending dinner at Wheeler.

“This is an awesome tour with veggies, and lots of animals,” an email reads, “including chickens, goats, turkeys, kune kune pigs, hairy pigs, cows, hair sheep, and babies.”

It’s a potluck affair, so bring a side dish or dessert to share, your preferred beverage, and utensils. The menu includes a Narragansett turkey butchered today and smoked Mangalitsa/Red Wattle pork loin. RMFR will be in attendance, so look here for photos from the event afterwards.
