Tyler Hill, co-owner of Loyal Coffee (408 S. Nevada Ave.) says they’re “hustling along on the build-out” for Loyal’s second location, to open late summer of 2019 in the space formerly held by the bike and coffee shop Cafe Velo (11550 Ridgeline Drive, #102).
“While we are people who are pretty familiar with downtown, the people on the Northside also deserve a great space,” says Hill. “We want to come beside a neighborhood that we can positively impact and we believe we can do that there.”
Hill assures that there will be brand continuity as the beloved coffee company continues to grow, but guests can expect some “really fun, beautiful changes” with the addition of a professional meeting space — available to rent with food- and coffee-catering options.
“You’re going to know it’s a Loyal Coffee for sure,” says Hill. “It is a different design but I think it’ll be just as pretty, if not prettier.”
The menus at both locations will remain essentially the same “with a few innovations and reiterations” to reflect some “things learned downtown” that Hill says will inherently influence their decision processes for the new space.
“It’s nice to expand, but the big deal to us is to just cultivate community by way of coffee and do what we know how to do. We want to pour into more neighborhoods so whatever we can do in Colorado Springs to facilitate that we will.”
