After a recall initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture over a labeling issue — see previous coverage here and here — Ranch Foods Direct issued a statement saying all is back to normal and wholesale operations resumed yesterday.
“We’ve addressed all of the questions that were raised by USDA concerning how we label and package our products,” says owner Mike Callicrate in a release. “We appreciate all of our loyal customers for their continued support of our farm-to-table business model and are pleased to continue providing jobs and generating economic activity in Colorado Springs.
“Anyone with specific questions can contact Ranch Foods Direct at 719-473-2306.”
Callicrate previously took issue with the recall, saying it was “B.S. to have a Class I recall: That’s for E. coli and listeria and stuff.”
