We’re halfway through the fifth annual Colorado Springs Restaurant Week — a partnership between the Colorado Restaurant Association Pikes Peak Chapter, the Conventions & Visitors Bureau, and the Gazette — which means there are many opportunities to nosh on the 45 participating restaurant between now and Sunday.
So far, so good, Johnathan Shankland, general manager of The Famous (pictured), tells the Gazette today. “We’ve served about 200 Restaurant Week guests in the first five days. … It’s the best deal we run all year.”
With that in mind, here are just a few of the stops we at the Food Report would be sure to make, courtesy of the daily newspaper:
• For the bored gourmet, or the Millennial in all of us:
• For the discerning and gluten-free:
• For the cow-consuming cocktail drinker:• For the health-freak with a love of fresh:
• For the one who has actually been to Italy:
• For the one who doesn’t think bar food can be good food:
• For the one still mourning the passing of Paul Prudhomme:
• For the one who likes a more intimate experience:
