Over the past month, we’ve been keeping tabs on the new Enoteca Rustica, the revamped space above Pizzeria Rustica in Old Colorado City. The tapas/wine/cocktail/dessert lounge effectively doubles the available space, while adding unique menu items only available upstairs.
Last week, we stopped by a media preview to chat with owner Dave Brackett, chef Jay Gust and mixologist Ken Walker and take a few pictures. Unfortunately, a few vanished from my camera, like a locally smoked salmon rillette or an amazing spread made with white anchovies, Meyer lemons, garlic ricotta and extra-virgin olive oil, but you can catch some of those on the Indy’s post.
Meanwhile, the event also brought word that Rustica, Enoteca and TAPAteria would start progressive dinners on Thursdays between January 14 and March 31. For $49 diners get a tapa and wine at TAPAteria; any pizza or large antipasto platter, with wine, at Rustica; and any gelato dessert drowned with a digestif, plus espresso, at Enoteca.
