Picture this: You’re seeing your favorite band (and no, you didn’t have to drive all the way to Denver and back late at night to do it–score) in Colorado Springs, and instead of sitting on the lawn like a teenager, you’re nestled comfortably in accommodating seats complete with your own fire pit and a server that checks on you routinely. Finally, something to make adulting feel like a step up.

Sound like a dream? Well, that’s the vibe at Colorado Springs’ newest concert venue, Ford Amphitheater, where we had the pleasure of staying warm fireside, getting our drinks delivered to us and watching Cage the Elephant perform the last show on their 2024 tour.

“Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” anthem by Cage the Elephant

RMFR catches up with Chloe Hoeft, Vice President of Marketing for Venu Holding Corporation to discuss what distinguishes Ford Amphitheater from other music venues in Colorado, and nationwide, how they’re incorporating local food into the menu and what they’re hoping to offer residents and visitors alike, eager to attend this new music oasis.

“Ford Amphitheater stands out from other concert venues in Colorado for its luxurious, fan-centric experience,” says Hoeft. “With breathtaking views, it reimagines live entertainment. The amphitheater is designed for comfort and exclusivity, featuring luxury fire pit suites, handcrafted cocktails, and premium food options. This attention to detail creates an elevated concert-going experience that sets it apart from more traditional venues in the region.”

We’ll own our millennial vibes: Put your hands in the air

For the full sit down service, concert goers that opt for suite seating can place orders with their very own server and nosh on a variety of eats from in-venue food, ranging from short rib sandwiches to bulgogi tacos to sharable charcuterie boards.

“Ford Ampitheater paired with local food trucks that we handpicked to provide a diverse array of local vendors, curated to match the unique tastes and desires of our music fans.”

During our visit we noticed that per usual, you have the option to enjoy general admission which mirrors most concerts we have attended in the past, but At Ford Amphitheater, there is significantly more fire pit suite seating than stadium chairs. So, the only question that remains in our minds is why the hell would you pass up the cozy booth scenario?

“We believe fans should never settle when it comes to live music,” says Hoeft. “We’re delivering unforgettable moments that go beyond just the performance. Every show reflects our commitment to creating experiences that leave fans in awe, making each event more special than ever.”

We like our serenades well-lit and fireside, with local snacks

In addition to the niceties of the suites, the price tag is typically in line with the lower level seating with the bonus of individual service, extra-large premium chairs, close proximity parking, a custom red bricked fireplace and dedicated entrance.

Although the debut run of shows in 2024 recently concluded, guests can expect a full schedule to return in 2025 with 35-45 shows per season. This outdoor concert mecca is certainly an answer for all of us that tire of driving to Denver for gigs (especially on a weekday) and are actively seeking out an upgraded scenario to enjoy a show. Plus, Ford Amphitheater promises not to hit just “one note” and intends to serve the masses, acting as a home base for a variety of different genres and curating a hand-picked lineup of sought-after performers.

“Ford Amphitheater brings our community together, united over the power of great music,” says Hoeft. “A vibrant city thrives on a strong arts and culture scene, and Ford Amphitheater plays a vital role in energizing that spirit.”

Dreamy vibes and hot seats at Ford Amphitheater create a one-of-a-kind concert experience

By integrating a large-scale venue in Colorado Springs, there is not only room for guaranteed infrastructural growth but also the intention that it “inspires local talent to dream big and provides opportunities right here at home, helping to nurture the next generation of artists.”

“From an economic development standpoint, Ford Amphitheater brings over $102 million dollars a year,” says Hoeft. ” That’s over a billion in the next decade. But we also hope this beloved venue will inspire young talent to stay or relocate here, planting roots and fueling the growth of our City of Champions.”
