It may have been a tough year for Venetucci Farm, but that hasn’t deterred Bristol Brewing Company, which announced it will still do its annual, much-beloved Venetucci Pumpkin Ale. This time, though, it will source pumpkins from Pueblo’s Milberger Farms. Venetucci will still get 100 percent of the profits.
Pre-sale happens Saturday, October23 at noon, with pick-up starting Monday, October 31. Bristol will release the ale on draught in the Pub Sunday, October 30 at 2 p.m. Click here for details on all that. As any VPA devotee will tell you, lines are long but the wait is worth it.
For some hands-on fun, come Thursday, October 13 at noon for a chance to help cut, gut and roast the Milberger pumpkins. Volunteers will get their names added to the pre-sale list for up to four bottles. Click here for more.
Venetucci’s troubles this year came in the forms of hail, which destroyed the pumpkin crop, and tainted water, which meant none of the produce or vegetables would be available to the public, a contentious choice made within the ranks of Pikes Peak Community Foundation, Venetucci’s umbrella organization.
Here’s to seeing the farm back in action and stronger than ever next year.
