Chef Brother Luck — that Colorado Avenue progenitor of fried chicken-liver tacos; nutmeg pound cake with pumpkin frosting; and loaded oxtail potatoes — is by now well-known for elevating Colorado Springs dining through exciting creations and off-the-wall dinners, like the recent Jim Henson effort.
But he could be gaining a national profile with the news that he’s one of 10 semifinalist’s for the Food Network’s competitive-cooking show Chopped. However, he can’t do it without you.
“So I need some serious help over the next 3 weeks!!!!!” reads a Facebook post from Luck. “I need as many votes as possible to advance and it’s up to you. Public voting starts tomorrow at 8AM and goes until December 14th. The top 4 contestants with the highest votes advance to New York City in February to film and compete.
“Click on the following link and you can vote up to 5 times per day. Help a Brother out (LOL) and let me represent all the support you have shown me!!!!”
